The Other Chair

Peer Consultation & Peer Supervision

The Other Chair is a peer consultation and peer supervision network hosted by Unhyphen Psychology

Our conversations focus on intersectionality, cultural humility, culturally responsive and sensitive practice, and cross-cultural trauma informed practice. The purpose of this space is to share our stories, seek and provide validation, and to value our own experiences with the hope that it will lead to growth and learning from each other. Sessions are open to mental health professionals from any discipline. Therapists in the network are welcome to host the conversation every month and choose a theme they want the group to reflect upon.

Currently, peer consultation and networking sessions are being conducted online, with in-person catch ups in Melbourne interspersed throughout the year. This is an intersectional space for BIPOC and multicultural therapists to process and discuss our experiences and identities as therapists. While this group is not specifically designed to provide group supervision or therapy, please feel free to utilise these monthly sessions for yourself, to network with other practitioners, or seek opportunities for peer consultation.

If you are a practitioner interested in accessing this space, please get in touch at otherchair@unhyphen.com for more details.
